Ham Radio Technical Discussion Net on 7065 kHz, 1:45 am UTC (7.15 am IST)

Plans for Ham Radio Technical Discussion Net were posted earlier. Yesterday we had discussed mainly about dipole antennas and a little bit about balun and EFHW. We will continue the discussion today as it is a vast topic and possibly discuss a little more on End Fed Half Wave Dipole antenna (EFHW), quite popular among portable station operators as it can cover multiples bands with a single wire. It can even tune WARC bands if you have an external antenna tuner and the antenna is having a 20m long wire meant for bands 40 to 10m and sometimes even 6m. It is also popular among those living in apartments in this region, who have restrictions on the number of antennas and cables which can go up to the terrace, that too only in apartments where they permit it.

Hams who are unable to hear us directly and SWLs can monitor the frequency on the OpenWebRX: http://vu3wew.ddns.net:8073/. Any points to be discussed in coming days could be posted as a comment below this post. Comments are moderated and will be checked only after the net and included for the discussion on the next day as far as possible.
